I grew up in a small town on Vancouver Island and spent my childhood playing in the forests and exploring nature. City life has always felt like a cage to me, so I moved aboard my first sailboat at age 19. I went on to live aboard sailboats for over thirteen years while earning diplomas in marine mechanics, marine surveying and scuba diving. Art has always been in my heart as well as the yearning to express my creativity. At the age of forty I semi retired on my small property located in the remote community of Owen Bay, situated on Sonora island BC. This small community consists of approximately 25 full time residents. Now with time on my side and the emerald embrace of the forest as my teacher I have been able to fulfill my creative outlets.
